hotel_txt 'The satisfaction of having a guest house in the context of the Tridente is that no need of meeting space. Because the common areas are the same Tridente. Satisfaction, this is the first impression when you talk to Alberto Moncada Paternò, a worthy descendant of a noble family,, that a person satisfied with their ideas, future-oriented without losing the link with the past.

An awareness that led him, after years living abroad in the U.S., UK and Switzerland, to invest in a project whose name already says it all: Rome Luxury Suites. "A bet game started two years ago from the courtyard of historic Margutta 54 that the Marquis Francesco Patrizi, my great-great grand, he decided to create in the late nineteenth century on the model of Montmartre in Paris - says Moncada - A place where artists that, Romans and not, they could express their talents. In this space then existed only in remittances for the boats that once docked at the port of Ripetta factory just a few decades earlier.

My grandfather decided to construct three blocks around a central courtyard that today, has remained one of the most beautiful in Rome. For decades lofts have hosted famous artists such as Pablo Picasso, who while residing at the Hotel de Russie worked in a studio on the second floor of one of our facilities, and musicians such as Igor Stravinsky and Giacomo Puccini. The courtyard became instead a place of important meetings and even, Pietro Mascagni we held an outdoor concert. "A passion for art renewed today by the sister of Alberto Moncada, Valentina, which since 1990 manages an art gallery located in the internal courtyard.

Walls that have many stories to tell. And Moncada decided to make available to those who want to visit Rome in a more "special" way than usual. "Among the loft of the structure there was one, owned by film studio Titanus, used since the 50s of last century for the dubbing of films carried out in Rome - continued Moncada - With the help of two young architects, Andrea and Fabrizio Magnaghi, I changed this two-story loft rooms in four very large (60 to 80 sqm, ed), real suites designed to offer those who visit Rome in a different way, indeed roman, distant from the hotels of mass and buses organized by the tour guides with flags. A place to feel free, at home, to do what you want of their day, with a convenience more than the much more expensive 5-star hotels: a butler at your disposal for any need. "

What about meals? "Breakfast , which obviously served by us, our guests can order anything in the room. We have agreements with local restaurants that can prepare what you want.. "

But the project does not end with via Margutta , it reveals Moncada. "Unknowingly, I have ridden a trend that is growing exponentially. Following the success of Margutta 54 because I planned on doing two more 'popular hotels', one in Via Mario dei Fiori 37, active since January 2009, and another in the via del Babuino 181, which will open its doors later this year. "

A boundless love for the Trident? "I think the best place to base for exploring Rome. Trevi Fountain can be reached in five minutes, Piazza Navona in ten. If I had to open another hotel I would like do it certainly again in this context."
